A 23-year-old man, involved in internet fraud (commonly referred to as ‘yahoo boy‘), has expressed regret after scamming a Venezuelan client of 20,000 Bolivar currency.
In a detailed post that has gone viral on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the young man confesses to his fraudulent activities and explains the struggles that led him down this path, including the death of his mother 10 years ago.

He recounts how his struggles to care for his sick father and sister pushed him into fraudulent activities, leading to his first scam involving a Venezuelan client who sent him 20,000 Bolívar.
The man explains how he used the scammed funds to cover his father’s medical expenses, draining the money in the process. He also reveals his remorse for the pain caused to the victim, acknowledging how significant the amount was in the client’s home country.
“I wish you could see the pain these victims feel when they’re scammed. This money was huge for him, and it’s like he borrowed part of it,” he said.
