The FCT police command has arrested notorious gang leader Abubakar Idris (AKA Nishi) and his accomplices, Buhari Saidu and Musa Ahmadu Suleiman, in connection with the brutal murder of Ibrahim Danfulani.
According to a statement from the command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the incident occurred on November 27, 2024. The murder stemmed from Nishi’s intense frustration over Ibrahim’s plans to marry a woman he had heavily invested in financially. The investigation revealed that the trio, armed with knives, viciously attacked Ibrahim, leading to his tragic death.
Adeh further revealed that the gang also stole 18 cows belonging to the victim as compensation for Nishi’s perceived financial losses.
“In a dramatic turn of events, Nishi, who had fled the scene of the crime, was tracked down and arrested in Nasarawa State. He was apprehended while planning to recruit new gang members to carry out a sinister plot to return and kill the woman. The swift and coordinated efforts of the FCT Police Command, in collaboration with the residents of Agaita community in Karu, led to the successful arrest of all suspects. They are now in police custody and will face prosecution to ensure justice is served,” Adeh stated.
