Veteran actor and comedian, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, is celebrating his 70th birthday today. He played a significant role in the childhoods of many Nigerians, known for his hilarious performances.
He wrote, “Hurray, I’m 70 years today.”
The actor has starred in numerous films, including Osuofia in London, which earned him the iconic nickname Osuofia, as well as Stronger than Pain, Ikuku, and many others.
Osuofia has received several accolades, including the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his remarkable performance in Stronger than Pain. He was also honored with the AMAA Lifetime Achievement Award at the 13th edition of the ceremony.
In 2012, MTN partnered with Owoh, signing him to a multimillion-naira endorsement deal, which has been renewed multiple times.
