Osun LG Poll: Adeleke Commends Tinubu, Denies Attacking President

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun praised President Bola Tinubu on Saturday for his support of the rule of law during the local government elections in the state.

Adeleke made the comments while addressing the press in his hometown, Ede.

The governor, however, denied making any negative comments against the president.
“I have never made any negative remarks about Mr. President,” Governor Ademola Adeleke clarified.

“All news articles suggesting that I spoke ill of the president are false. I have been consistently supportive and cooperative with the federal government.

“In my two broadcasts, I did not attack the president in any way. I urge the public and stakeholders to disregard the fake news circulating, as I have never criticized President Tinubu before or during the ongoing local government elections,” he added.

The governor, who described the election process as smooth and efficient, commended the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) for their excellent work.

Mr. Teslim Igbalaye, the state secretary, also praised the electorate for their overwhelming participation in the election.

Igbalaye, who spoke to newsmen in Osogbo, also commended OSSIEC for conducting a peaceful election.

“I want to commend the electorate for coming out in large numbers to cast their votes.

“The election has been peaceful, and I am confident that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will emerge victorious,” he said.
