Suspected assassins have killed a businessman, Ismaila Awoyinka, in Ore, Ondo State.
Awoyinka, a building materials dealer, was shot dead outside his residence near Caring Heart Mega School, Idi Mango, on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
According to sources, the attack occurred shortly after he left the mosque following Taraweeh prayers. Witnesses reported that assailants dressed in white arrived on a motorcycle, waited nearby, and ambushed him as he approached his home, shooting him at close range.
Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway.
