Contrary to circulating reports claiming the demise of the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson, Mr. Michael Ogunsina, has debunked the news, affirming that the monarch is alive and well.
Ogunsina made this clarification after receiving confirmation from the Oyo State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Ajani Olatunbosun, who assured him that the revered traditional ruler remains in good health.
He urged the public to disregard the false reports and refrain from spreading misinformation about the monarch’s well-being.
“I just spoke with the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Oyo State, Dr. Wasiu Ajani Olatunbosun, and he has confirmed to me that Kabiyesi Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is alive, hale, and hearty.
“Kindly ignore the purveyors of fake news. Olorun a bá wà di Baba mú,” Ogunsina stated.
