Nollywood actress and producer Omoni Oboli has called out Ghanaian TV stations for allegedly airing her movies without proper licensing or compensation. In a recent Instagram post, the filmmaker expressed frustration over the unauthorized broadcast of her latest movie, Love in Every Way, which has been receiving widespread acclaim and sparking conversations on social media.
Omoni lamented the hard work and sleepless nights invested in producing her films, vowing to take legal action against the TV stations involved. She described their actions as theft and questioned whether Ghana has a television regulatory authority to address such issues.
“I’m coming for you clowns,” she wrote, promising to ensure the stations pay for every movie they’ve shown without permission. She also thanked fans for alerting her to the unauthorized broadcasts, sharing screenshots sent by followers who noticed her movies on Ghanaian TV.
Many fans joined the conversation, naming specific TV stations and expressing concern over how quickly new films are aired without proper authorization.
This incident follows a previous controversy in 2024, when Omoni was accused of copying a YouTube movie. Despite past challenges, the actress remains steadfast in protecting her intellectual property and ensuring her hard work is duly compensated.
