Two More American Soldiers Killed in Iranian Missile Strikes

Two additional American service members have been confirmed dead following Iranian missile attacks, raising the total number of US troops killed in the escalating conflict to six.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the latest casualties in a post on X, stating that the remains of two previously unaccounted-for soldiers were recovered from a separate facility hit during Iran’s initial wave of missile strikes in the region.

“As of 4 pm ET, March 2, six US service members have been killed in action. US forces recently recovered the remains of two previously unaccounted for service members from a facility struck during initial attacks,” CENTCOM said.

“Major combat operations continue. The identities of the fallen are being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin notification.”

Earlier reports by Premium Times indicated that three American soldiers had been killed and five others seriously injured. The death toll later rose to four after one of the severely wounded troops succumbed to injuries. The confirmation of two more fatalities now brings the total to six.

The conflict has also claimed lives elsewhere. Israel previously confirmed at least 10 deaths resulting from Iranian strikes.

In Kuwait, three US fighter jets crashed in what officials described as a “friendly fire” incident, further compounding the military losses.

Meanwhile, retaliatory strikes by the United States and Israel have reportedly resulted in more than 550 deaths in Iran, including the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

Major combat operations remain ongoing as tensions continue to escalate across the region.
