African Democratic Congress Defeats All Progressives Congress at Wuse Polling Unit in FCT Council Poll

The African Democratic Congress has secured an early win in the ongoing Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections, defeating the All Progressives Congress at Polling Unit 076 in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja.

According to results reported by Daily Trust, the ADC polled seven votes at the unit, while the APC received two votes. One ballot was declared invalid, amid generally low voter turnout.

The polling unit is located at Sani Abacha Estate in Wuse Zone 4, a central district of the capital. Observers noted that turnout was low, reflecting a wider trend in parts of the FCT during the election.

The unit also served as the voting location for Moses Paul, the ADC chairmanship candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC). Earlier in the day, Paul raised concerns about voter participation, linking the low turnout to movement restrictions announced by FCT authorities.

The result represents an early boost for the opposition party in the council elections.
