An EFCC officer has gone missing after allegedly stealing $30,000 from the commission’s exhibit room. This incident follows a similar case where another EFCC officer was caught stealing gold bars worth over 1 billion naira and $180,000 in cash.
In light of these thefts, the EFCC initiated an audit of its inventory to ensure transparency and accountability. However, upon hearing about the audit, the officer in question requested to use the restroom and has not been seen or heard from since. His phones have been turned off, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
A thorough search is underway, and the commission suspects that more than $30,000 may be missing from the exhibit room. Investigations are ongoing to track down the missing officer and determine the full extent of the theft.
