The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, has reacted to a viral video showing a young lady going hysterical after blowing a balloon at a party.
In the trending clip, the young woman is seen hanging out with friends in a sitting room when another female handed her a balloon and encouraged her to blow it. While attempting to inflate the balloon, the lady appeared to sense something was off and tried to stop, but was urged to continue.
Moments later, she began acting erratically—screaming and jumping uncontrollably—sparking concern among social media users about what may have been inside the balloon.
Reacting to the incident via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, SP Edafe wrote:
“One of the reasons why I don’t want to hear anything about ‘Yahoo’ or Internet fraud is the way it motivates them to destroy themselves and young girls by abusing drugs. See how far they can go just to abuse drugs. We need to wake up.”
The video has since triggered conversations around drug use and its ties to internet fraud culture, particularly among youths.
