Renowned footballer Odion Jude Ighalo has disclosed that he has consistently paid his tithe since 2005 without missing a single one.
In an interview with Rasheedat Ajibade on Ash Christ TV, Ighalo revealed that he received his first salary as a footballer in 2005. Inspired by his pastor’s teachings on tithing, he began the practice that year and has remained committed to it ever since.
“My first salary as a footballer was N15,000 in 2005. Because my pastor taught me about tithing, I have been paying since then and have never missed it,” Ighalo shared.
The footballer recounted his initial struggle with the decision, revealing that he battled thoughts urging him not to tithe from his first earnings.
“If you can be faithful with little, you will be faithful with any amount that comes your way,” he added.
