Isaac Fayose sparked controversy in a fiery video response to Obi Cubana’s new involvement with Seyi Tinubu’s City Boy Movement. Claiming partial Igbo heritage through his wife, Fayose accused Igbos of being “easy to buy” and criticized their muted reaction to Nnamdi Kanu’s DSS detention, contrasting it with the attention Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho and Sheikh Ahmad Gumi have received.
Obi Cubana, also known as the “Chief Priest,” fired back by sharing a photo with President Tinubu, mocking Fayose’s family legacy, and highlighting his own contributions to Imo State. Fayose retaliated, calling Cubana a “little boy” with questionable wealth.
The exchange has divided public opinion, with some praising Fayose’s boldness while others condemned his remarks as ethnically insensitive, adding fuel to Nigeria’s ongoing ethnic debates.
