During his ‘Speed Does Africa’ tour across 20 countries, 20-year-old streamer Darren Watkins Jr., aka IShowSpeed, gained rare VIP access to Egypt’s Great Pyramid of Giza, streaming live from its narrow passages and echoing chambers at around 5 a.m. UTC.
While exploring, he marveled at the 40-ton granite sarcophagus and the incredible ancient engineering, exclaiming “Holy guacamole, bro!” as he navigated areas rarely seen by tourists due to strict restrictions on cameras and crowd access.
The day’s adventures didn’t stop there: Watkins Jr. and his team took a spinning helicopter ride and went paragliding over the plateau, with the entire excursion costing over $200,000. The stream included memorable moments, such as dodging a fan’s green apple during the tour.
