Napoli has rejected Galatasaray’s €65 million bid for a permanent transfer of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen joined the Turkish club on loan last September after a failed last-minute attempt to move to Chelsea. According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli insists on the full €75 million release clause and is not willing to offer a discount.
Galatasaray, eager to keep Osimhen, could potentially meet the €75 million release fee, but would also need to pay an additional €6 million compensation to other clubs involved.
Originally, Osimhen’s release clause was set at €130 million, but it was reduced when he signed a new contract with Napoli last summer before moving to Galatasaray.
The Nigerian striker has been in stellar form for the Turkish leaders, scoring 16 goals and providing 5 assists in 20 appearances since his loan move.
