A tragic incident unfolded at the Palasa Hotel in Abuja, where Inspector Lawal Ibrahim, a police officer, was found dead in a hotel room after a sexual encounter. According to reports, the officer had met a woman, Maryam Abba, online about three months ago, and last week invited her to the hotel.
The two engaged in sexual activities throughout the evening, night, and into the early morning. After their final session, Inspector Ibrahim reportedly began experiencing breathing difficulties and became unresponsive. Maryam attempted to revive him by sprinkling water on his face, but when this proved ineffective, she went to inform the hotel manager.
The manager initially called the police, and upon their arrival and re-entry into the room, Inspector Ibrahim was found lifeless. He was later confirmed dead at the Abuja Teaching Hospital.
During a search of the room, a phone charger, a sex-enhancing drug known as “Watermelon,” and other items were recovered. Maryam Abba has been arrested for questioning, and police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.
As of now, the police have not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
