Social critic Vincent Martins Otse, widely known as Verydarkman, has weighed in on the ongoing controversy between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo-Blessed and her former record label boss, Ezekiel ThankGod Onyedikachukwu, aka EeZee T, of EeZee Conceptz.
After watching Mercy Chinwo’s version of the story, VDM concluded that she was lying and using emotional blackmail in the matter.

VDM alleged that Mercy Chinwo’s video was heavily edited, with about 15 cuts, suggesting she was not being sincere.
According to VDM, the dispute between Mercy Chinwo and EeZee T centers around her music catalog. He argued that the record label rightfully owns it and cannot simply hand it over, as this is the standard practice globally.
VDM dismissed Mercy Chinwo’s claim that EeZee T forged their contract, calling it a lie. He clarified that the document only underwent a correction, with both parties present at the time.
On Mercy’s accusation that EeZee T paid bloggers to spread rumors about her child, Charis, resembling gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey, VDM challenged her to provide evidence.
VDM also questioned why Mercy Chinwo stayed silent when the rumor first surfaced, only speaking up after her fallout with EeZee T became public.
He further criticized her for mentioning Pastor Jerry Eze, the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), in her video. VDM argued that she did so deliberately, knowing Eze has a massive following. By claiming that EeZee T dislikes Eze, he believes Mercy was trying to rally Eze’s supporters against the record label boss.
