A TikTok user identified as Mirabel has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a man who forced his way into her apartment in Lagos on Sunday, February 15.
According to her account shared on social media, the suspect allegedly pushed into her residence, attacked her with a razor blade, and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene after she lost consciousness.
Screenshots circulating online show alleged messages from an individual identified as “Priston,” who purportedly admitted to the attack, referenced previous encounters, and made statements suggesting he would evade justice. The authenticity of the messages has not yet been independently verified.
In an emotional video, Mirabel tearfully recounted the incident, stating that the suspect assaulted her after she declined to give him her phone number. In a distressing message shared online, she wrote: “I’m genuinely sorry, but I can’t hold up anymore. It was so nice meeting you all, and I’m sorry.”
Following the traumatic incident, she reportedly attempted to take her own life by ingesting pesticide. She is currently receiving medical care and is said to be in stable condition.
The Lagos State Police Command and the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) have reportedly reached out as investigations commence and support is being provided.
Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward as efforts continue to apprehend the suspect.
