President Bola Tinubu has appointed board chairpersons for 42 federal agencies and parastatals, along with a secretary to the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board. Additionally, a new managing director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation have been named.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, include notable figures such as Hon. Hillard Eta (National Youth Service Corps), former External Affairs Minister Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi (Nigerian Institute of International Affairs), and APC Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje (Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria), among others.
The President has emphasized that the board chairpersons’ roles are non-executive and that they should refrain from interfering with the management of their respective organizations.
