Tinubu Urges Muslims to Embrace Peace, Patience, and Service During Ramadan

President Bola Tinubu has called on Muslims to use the holy month of Ramadan as a time for peace, patience, sacrifice, and service to humanity—values that reflect the true essence of Islam.

Speaking at the opening of the Qur’an Tafseer for the 2025 Ramadan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, emphasized that “Ramadan is a journey of the soul, a time for deep reflection, self-purification, and embracing the true essence of Islam.”

He commended the country’s religious leaders for their role in shaping the nation’s ethical foundation and nurturing the consciousness of society.

Tinubu also urged Nigerians to pray fervently for the nation’s peace, stability, and progress.

The President acknowledged that Nigeria stands at a defining moment, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility in nation-building. He prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for the nation, its leaders, and citizens.

Earlier, the Chief Imam of the State House Mosque, Sheikh Abdulwahid Abubakar, appealed to Tinubu to enhance support for the needy, especially orphans, widows, and other vulnerable groups in the country.
