The Katsina State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers involved in the abduction and killing of a 12-year-old boy in Dankama, Kaita Local Government Area, after his parents failed to pay the N25 million ransom.
The suspects, Muttaka Garba (24) and Yusuf Usman (20), were arrested on January 13, 2025, following a thorough investigation. The victim was kidnapped on January 11, 2025, while running an errand for his mother. The kidnappers demanded a ransom and refused to release the boy, ultimately killing him. His body was later found on the outskirts of Dankama.
Police have recovered the phone used for the ransom demand and are preparing the suspects for prosecution.
