A tragic incident has rocked Owerri, Imo State, as 29-year-old vegetable seller Olumma Okeke reportedly d+ed after an all^ged be@ting by her husband, Kelechi Prince Okeke, over a dispute involving ₦35,000 transferred from a customer.
According to her sister, Ezinne Onyedikachi Brenda Akataobi, Olumma had been in good health earlier on February 2, contradicting her husband’s claim that she suddenly collapsed. Ezinne shared emotional videos online, recounting past family warnings about Kelechi’s abus+ve behavior and rejecting his version of events.
Kelechi Prince Okeke is currently detained at Owerri’s State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), while authorities await the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of Olumma’s d+ath.
The family continues to mourn her løss, emphasizing the need for justice for Olumma and her young children, who are left without their mother. Social media has since been filled with calls for accountability and stricter measures against domestic violence.
