WAEC Announces Candidates Can Now Resit for WASSCE Exams
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced that candidates will now have the opportunity to resit for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
This new development was confirmed by WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, in a statement released on Sunday.
In his statement, Kapi explained that candidates now have the opportunity to retake their West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) papers as early as January and February 2025.
He clarified, “Students who check their results and find that they need to resit one or more papers have until January 8th to register online via our website or at WAEC-accredited internet cafés.”
The resit exams are scheduled to take place from January 24th to February 15th, 2025.
Additionally, students whose results have been cancelled are eligible to sit for the WASSCE PC1 exams, provided they have not been banned for examination malpractice.
